Our Story
Established by Tyler Watchorn in 2015, New Life Automotive embarked on its journey, initially operating out of Tyler’s home garage. Tyler, a youth minister, moved the business to a local two-bay garage. In 2018, Tyler and his father, Rick, secured the current location at 354 E Main St. Franklin, NC 28734, purchasing the building and steering the business towards further success. With Rick serving as administrator/bookkeeper/shop dawg and DeAnne as secretary and sales, the trio built a reputation synonymous with trust in the community of Franklin, NC. 2019 marked the addition of technician Tyler Stelline, followed by David Henson as sales and service manager, contributing to the business’s strategic growth. In 2020, they added Logan McCoy, a master technician.
2021 marked David’s partnership with Rick & Tyler, taking on the role of Sales & Service Manager and contributing to the business’s strategic direction. Logan was promoted to shop foreman. In anticipation of further growth, Michael Madden also joined the team. The team expanded in 2022 with the addition of George Drummond, leading detailing services and serving as a technician. In 2023, Taylor York joined the general services department, and Jesse Ramirez was hired as a bilingual Service Advisor. They also hired Jimbo Meyer as a repair & diagnostic technician.
Since its inception, New LIFE Automotive has aimed to be the preferred independent automotive shop of western North Carolina. The commitment to being first-in-class extends to staff, training, facility, equipment, and tools. The team approaches growth with intentionality, striving every day to surpass previous achievements for themselves and, most importantly, for their valued customers.
